The colors used are nice and work well together and the shading is okay. My only problem is the lineart. The arms look too stiff and short and the feet are kind of strange. Also the blobs look more like they are spraying out of him instead of just dripping off of him (which I assume was the initial intent). Keep practicing, though.

I think the fact that I even made it into the top 3 for my first attempt at a weekly challenge is impressive enough for me and I'm satisfied. Besides, I could've done a lot more with my piece anyway. The background in particular is just a little too simple in how it was done.

It wasn't really referenced from other stuff beyond the extent of it having similar scenery that included trees and mountains and dirt patches and stuff, but the actual look and style of it is (I would hope) somewhat unique imo.
