Is it restricted to "sprites", or is a scene also allowed?
I foresee a lot of creativity in this competition anyhow.

For the challenge, please tell what to improve.
I know it is very simple, and I do think about adding more to it.

Nice shapes on the last 2 comments, kudos.
@angel just make that twice the size so that you have room to elaborate. The shape is wonderful.

Well, I've been working on another concept as well: Tried (and failed) at adding tendrils to the bottom, but I'll get it! Which do you think is better?

I've been playing a lot of Ogame recently, and I think it would be a good place for inspiration for anybody who's drawing a blank mentally.

Good afternoon. I've a question to ask about transparency. I am using 4 shades of blue, purple and orange and 3 of green as well. I used my green pallet to create my lil pilot in the cockpit. But when I use my orange pallet as the transparency over the green I get shades of color that are not in my pallet. My question is do these other shades count as additional colors. If so I need to fix it. This is my first entry and I want it to qualify for entry. Thank you for your time. Love the site.

Yes, these are new colors. It is best if you refrain from opacity layers (maybe just determine the colors you need to add to your palette) and then pixel as opaque colors. ps: transparency is also counted as a color (since it is a color with a mask).

Elk, how can you possibly pixel on a pink background? I really get blind while looking at it, and it is easier to pick good colors with a neutral background!
And yes, 16 colors is the rule. And I am sure you can do that quite easily here.

Its a bit depressing to look at some of this stuff - I have so much to learn. A request for input - any glaring issues with this piece? I want to animate the main propellor, the smoke stack and the flags once I have completed the main image. EDIT - Oh, and the ropes coming from the prop shaft and nose.

Lol lollige, i always use 255 0 255 as bg that will be transparent in future XD
its just easier for me to adjust the saturation of stuff :D as it is very very unlikely to use that color in the piece itself and so the piece that is around it is centered

Elk, you can just remove the colors and then draw over that version, changing the colors to get into perfection again? 16 color version:

Here's your ship NlTO I don't know about the execution. I can see keeping the pattern but its all just too flat and kinda looks washed out. I think you can do the same thing but colored with more precision and style. E: Rough idea
