I think something a bit more beach and sunsetty could've worked better for this background, I made a quick sloppy edit to illustrate the point. That being said, nice job.

There were a few, maybe you were thinking of Wizardry? Thats the one I grew up with.

Anyway, great job on the shading, and even with the low frame count, everything is very well done, and the animations read fine.

Love it, great job on the whole thing. I'd love to play this.

Wow, how'd I miss this, this is one of the best in the challenge.

This seems really washed out, I thought some more vibrant contrasting colors could really help this piece out, so I did this color edit: http://sj.arc-nova.org/b/helloween2.png - it seems like you've got a lot of detail in there that gets lost from the shades being so close

Another thing that could possibly help this, is to fill the dark areas in the pumpkin instead with bright yellow to show light.

A few impressive last minute entries made this interesting.

The last one was really great, I'm glad I noticed it this time around, although this palette is really giving me the shits, those greens are very tough to work with. Something tells me we'll see lots of darker grey-brown tiles.

If this game wasn't so simple and great I'd complain about it coming up again, but it is, so I'm glad more people may have the opportunity to experience it.

Nicely done! I've fooled with the idea of entering this but just cant seem to get it going to draw tiles. Great colors and stylish effects. The sand especially is simple and doesn't make sense but still somehow works, as are other parts, making for a really nice mockup. My votes on this, but then I dont think there were any other real completed mockups done
