Now don't get me wrong, I'm an ink illustrator and I'm not too shabby at it--but I've been against computer-generated art for a long, long time. A friend recently helped me to really appreciate the process and the end results. So--I started trying my hand at it with a self portrait. I will say that what you see here is the result of a lot of re-working and learning the software as I went so you're not seeing the ABSOLUTE first piece, as it were. But let's say I did all of this during my first two days learning to use the computer for anything but e-mail and surfing the web. :)

After staring at this piece for a while and falling asleep, I dreamt of my commodore sixty-four only the monitor had been replaced with a large purple grape. It still worked, but it was strange looking at the screen as it wrapped around in spherical fashion. The grape was a bit smaller than the original monitor. I loaded Bruce Lee and had to keep turning the grape when I got halfway across the screen... Thanks for that. GA

It seems to come from upper right on "friend" but I don't get the same feeling on "ragdoll." Outline on "friend" is too black, especially where his arms meet his head.
