Ho ho ho everyone! I hope pixelling your gifts is going well.

I have some important information.

The Secret Santa 2023 Stream will be available on Twitch this year to make it accessible to more people. Last year we had it on Discord, but it capped it at 25 people and non-Discord users could also not participate. So we moved onto Twitch this year (it will be my Twitch premiere!) to make sure all 48 participants and any other curious people can watch it. But please excuse any beginner mistakes on my part!

The stream will be held on December 26th at 21:00 GMT+1. To find out the time in your time zone, please check the schedule link. The timezone in the schedule is based off the location your computer is set to.

Additionally if you are participating; I have extended the deadline to the 25th. I will be preparing an image slide show for the stream, so preferably send it latest the evening of the 25th (I'm on GMT+1). You can send it in a DM on Pixel Joint, send me an email at linnaeahl@gmail.com, or send it to me on Discord. Upload your wrapping preview to the Public Queue as soon after as you can - I need the wrapping too! (Remember to not actually submit your gift, or write who it is for.)

As a side note: if you realise now that you will be unable to make a gift. Please let me know ASAP so that I can let our Backup Santas know and they might be able to prepare something in time.

This is going to be a southern hemisphere centered challenge (at least for a few more decades).

Pixel a Christmas landscape or a scene during hot summer weather. You have to include a beach or any body of water like a sea, a lake, or a pool. You have to include any festive elements so the winter holiday season is recognizable. Any religious, cultural, or social observances alternative to Christmas that take place during the winter will count, as long as they have some recognizable attributes that will work with the idea of a combination with summer. And you have to use the Wintercode palette.
