The Golden Spiral can be a great way to focus the audience's eye, directing them through your image.
For this challenge we are going to create a piece that follows the golden spiral.
We want you to choose one of the elements (water, earth, fire, air) as a topic of your scene.
Canvas size: Exactly 240x150 (vertical or horizontal), you have to use the template.
Colours: Max 28
Transparency: No.
Animation: No.
A palindrome is a sequence that reads the same backwards as forwards.
We would like you to try to make an animation that works in a similar way.
Create an animation that flows well forward, but also flows well when reversed backwards, creating a loop. This can be done by either; copying your first sequence over and reversing it, or exporting the animation in a ping-pong loop. The more seamless the animation seems, the better!
Canvas size: Max 160x160px.
Colours: Max 13 (including transparency).
Transparency: Required.
Animation: Required, minimal 5 frames forward sequence
The following pixel artists produced Pixel Joint's top rated pixel art for June 2023.
Many thanks go out to this month's top pixel artists, and all the members who took time to rate!
Each rpg party must contain different characters from different classes with different sets of abilities, weapons, skills etc. They all have to fullfill different roles, so they can complement each other, and could be useful in different ways on a quest or in a battle. And preferably, the party should have a wide representation from difffrent species. It is so annoying, right? Why can't there be a party of all knights, all mages, or all archers?
Well, this week we are going break that boring rule. We will draw 3 different sprites of characters from the same species and class. You can give them different features, like different height, physique, hair, skin tones, clothing and equipment. They can have different weapons but they all need to be apropriate for the same class (for example, if you choose an archer, you could choose a short bow, a long bow and a crossbow, but if you choose a palladin, you will have a wider range of weapons to choose from). Of course we will not accept copy paste, but if you wish you can even go for identical triplets, with identical gear they all got from their mom. However, if this will be your choice, you will have to draw them all in different poses.
If this is your first time with this type of a challenge, please get familiar with all the previous editions:
Animal RPG Party, The RPG Party, RPG Party #2, The Monster RPG Party, Slime Family Gathering, RPG Band., RPG Tea Party.
Canvas size: Max 300x300px.
Colours: Max 33 (including transparency).
Transparency: Required.
Animation: No.
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

Are you playing Diablo right now? Maybe an annual rewatch of LotR? Whatever you are doing, if it has rings in it, PJ Weekly Challenge is here for you. This week we are making rings or signets.
Draw two different rings as game items. They may be tiny and clean - apropriate for a low res pixel art game, but you can go all out and paint some more detailed inventory illustrations, up to 100x100px each. They may be completely original ideas or pixellated versions of rings from existing games with cool ring designs - like Dark Souls, or any other rings from any other media.
But this would be too easy right? That's why this will also be another one of those random palette type challenges. You have to use the Jevelry_22 palette, which is a compilation of colours named by metals, gems and other jevelry components. And of course, to make an easy way out of 1bit image unavailable, you have to use at least half of the colours.

And, becasue this is a twin challenge to RGx Water, there is a twist. You can use any colors between [0, 0, 0] and [0, 255, 255], but make sure that each color has 0 for the red component. If using hex codes, colors will be #00XXXX. This also means you will use no white, no grays, but also no oranges, yellows, pinks, violets.
Canvas Size - Max 128x96 (any orientation)
Colors - Max 16, all having 0 for the red component.
Transparency - No.
